Check Your FAFSA Application Status

• After you complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), print the confirmation page showing your name, social security number, date and time completed.
• Or you may check the status of your application by going to the FAFSA website and select Check Status of Submitted FAFSA or Print Signature page.

  You should check the status at the following times:

  1. 3-5 days after submission - if you used a PIN to sign your application
  2. 7-10 days after submission - if you printed, signed and mailed a signature page
• Helpful Hint:

If you printed out the Electronic Filing Instructions when you filed your Web application, write down the dates you checked the status.
