Receiving Your Aid
Follow these steps to complete the final requirements needed to disburse your offered financial aid.

- Make sure you are enrolled in 12 credit hours or more as a full time student (for graduate students full time is considered 9 hours or more).
- If you are not going to be enrolled as a full-time student, please promptly fill out the 2009-2010 Aid Change Form (PDF | 462KB)
Step 4:
- Ensure that there are no other outstanding processing requirements or holds on your account.
- Check academic progress appeals, student processing requirements (i.e. scholarship thank you letters, etc), and financial holds from Bursar’s office through Hokie SPA or My VT.
- See our page on Possible Reasons for Financial Aid Delays or Refunds to help figure out the reason, should a hold be placed on your account.

- Complete the FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act Disclosure) on the Hokie SPA to specify the individuals to whom you authorize the release your financial aid information. We can not release a student's financial aid information to anyone other than the student and individuals they have authorized to have access (including the student's parent or guardian).
