Other Sources of Aid
I Still Need Money, What Can I Do?
There are alternative sources of funding that may be available for students as they search for additional funds for the school year. One of those sources is private loans. Private loans provide additional support for students as an alternative after federal financial aid programs have been considered. Private loan applications are available by clicking on the link below. The student applies with the lender and is first credit approved with the lender. The Office of University Scholarship and Financial Aid (USFA) then certifies the loan and the lender disburses funds to VT for credit to the student’s account. Students should also explore the Budget Tuition Payment Program and other electronic payment options on the Bursar's website.
