An additional application (i.e. FAFSA, General Scholarship Application) is not required.  In order to be eligible for financial aid other than athletic scholarship, all athletes should complete a FAFSA.  Pell Grants, Stafford Loans, Parent PLUS Loans, and other grants require FAFSA data before they can be awarded.

The Office of University Scholarships and Financial Aid award scholarships on the recommendation of the Department of Athletics.  An Athletic Scholarship Award Letter will be emailed via a Virginia Tech email, if applicable, to each recipient.  Access to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) rules and regulations as well as procedures and policies are included in the award letter.  Instructions for accepting the award will also be included for new recipients.
