The Virginia Tech- Virginia Community College System, VT- VCCS Lifeline Scholarship Program is awarded to select VCCS graduates continuing their education at Virginia Tech. One full and five one-half annual tuition and fee scholarships will be awarded to each Fall term’s entering cohort.
Graduating VCCS GPA’s will be used to determine rankings for scholarship candidates holding a degree awarded within the previous twelve months and entering VT in a Fall term. The student with the highest GPA will be awarded a full tuition and fee scholarship and the next highest five students ranked will be awarded the one-half tuition and fee scholarships. Selected recipients must obtain their associate degree prior to enrollment. The University Registrar and Chief Transfer Officer, along with the director of the Office of University Scholarships and Financial Aid, will review the rankings, and in the case of a tie or ties, these two university officials will determine the recipients.
The scholarships are for four consecutive Fall and Spring semesters. Recipients must be enrolled for at least 12 semester hours each term and maintain a 3.6 or higher cumulative GPA.
No application or recommendation letter is necessary.
